Lion hunters. Upsetting - not for sensitive viewers

Normally I would have quite light-hearted and humorous topics on this blog, but this upsets me, so I cannot just let it slide. I hate this shit. I HATE IT!!! This is exactly the reason why white afrikaans speaking people and Americans are so hated. The total lack of respect for living things. Such a beautiful creature being shot to death in a hail of bullets.

The lion did almost get the satisfaction to take one fucker down. What a pity he did not. I’m sorry to say that, but having so little respect for such a magnificent creature deserves no respect in return. Morally I feel bad for wishing the lion didn’t do more damage, but I’m sorry, I do. I’m so upset and emotional at the moment! The saddest thing of it all is that this is a promotional video to promote more lion killing in Africa. “Live the danger of lion hunting…” WTF!!! Why in Gods name is there no law against this barbaric practices? There should be life imprisonment for shit like this. That fuckers should all end up with cosy bedmates in Pollsmoor prison. Let the hunters be hunted.

Maybe I’m simply over reacting. I apologize if you feel that way. I just hate things like this. Best of all, they left their contact details at the end. Do with it what you think good…

  This is indeed pretty barbaric. If I had to kill a lion I would first shoot it with a dart to send it to dream land and then get close and finish things off “cleanly” (if there is such a thing) with a single shot in the head. No suffering. I can’t believe people get pleasure out of the suffering of animals.

  They were also pretty stupid though (not just because of what they did to the lion). To put yourself so close to an angry lion is asking for trouble. That one guy can indeed count himself as very, very lucky!

  I do however think that people often overreact to things like this. This is Africa; this kind of thing happens every day. People from all around the world come here to indulge in such sick fantasies (wow that does indeed make it sounds kinky). Now the tourism guys are probably going to be very angry at me.

  However, I do think lots of people are also hypocritical. They can’t stand seeing an animal get killed but they gladly eat the animal after it’s dead.

  I don’t really see what a person’s ethnicity or cultural group has to do with this though. It’s definitely not only the Afrikaners and the Americans. The British came to Africa specifically to get the stuffed head of an animal to put on their walls. Thanks to that kind of hunting we no longer have Kwaggas. Also, the people in Zimbabwe killed wildlife in some of the worst ways, although one could argue they were very hungry themselves at that point in time.

  Yeah you are right, but the American and Afrikaans on that video just made my blood boil. I am over reacting and probably hypocritical. I eat meat after all and it is actually much more cruel to breed an animal for the slaughterhouse.

  It is just that people indulge and enjoy this that makes me sick. Same if it were a buck. How the fuck can someone take pleasure in killing?! What the fuck is wrong with people if they take such great pleasure and pride in killing? It scares me a little bit.

  I don’t give a shit for tourism that supports these practices. In fact, I think it should be banned. There are better ways to attract tourists to this lovely country.

  It only scares you a little bit? That is the seriously _bad_ and cruel side of human nature. What scares me more is how people can do these things to each other. Murders, rapes, beatings, war… Eish. Now I understand the European saying “life sucks and then you die”.

  I saw this a while ago and was equally maddened by it. I just hope when the hunter dies one day he is greeted by his victim at the gates of hell. Sweet revenge.

  The reason why white afrikaans people are hated is because they’re killing animals? now, i’m not at all for beastly behaviour, but this is one of the less accurate statements i’ve read on the net. It doesn’t make sense. So how come black Africans aren’t hated when they kill their own people (genocide, that type of thing)? or maybe they are?
