Buy a vine from Stormhoek
Feb
20
The time has come to put your money where your mouths are and help a friend. Stormhoek amongst some has been hit hard by the collapse of their UK wine distributor. Read the full story here. So you can help them by buying a vine in their vineyard for ZAR2000 (approx. US$270) and support the guys that supported us bloggers so generously with free wine at almost every Geeky gathering.
Please, if you can afford it, buy a vine. If not, help spread the word and please Digg it here.
I’m in for sure!

Hey Stii, way to go spreading the word.
I think the guys are on to a really good idea here! Would be great to see the power of creative thinking + word-of-mouth marketing bring them success here.
[...] Recent news broke about the collapse of Stormhoekâs UK distributors, Orbital wines. While it is safe to assume that the Stormhoek brand will almost certainly emerge from this unscathed, their plea is geared towards preventing inevitable lay-offs of staff that this has amounted to. [...]
Some South Aficans have resisted the idea of sending money offshore.
You can deposit money into:

Bank: Nedbank (winelands business)
Bank code: 149821
We have not yet been able to set up a South African bank a/c that the the SA Reserve Bank will allow to make repatriation of foreign small (R2000+) amounts without vast bureaucracy.
