Another AWESOME myXchange gathering!
Yup, it was a goody! We’ve had three new xchangers and we’ve sorted out a few niggling issues. Oh, and we had good topics of note once more.
First off, thanks to the new okes for joining us!
Bev a.k.a FeistyFemale
Bev has connections of sorts with the Frogfooters and know frogfoot Joe! Another strange fact is she is practically my neighbor! She lives in the street behind me. An expert in Google AdWords. Can organize corporate gifts, state of the art gadgets branded and customized. She will be bringing us back from Cape Town some new software for our beloved Freedom Toaster! Thanks soooo much!
Mr Leroy Dixon (not yet blogging, but we’re working on him…)
Leroy is an interesting guy! He does catering and effects painting for a living. Effects painting? Yes, he was involved in the painting of Monte Casino. That kinda effects painting! He is also a Linux enthusiast of note! A true geek. A hobbyist… He tought us a thing or two about running Windblows apps under Linux! Also mentioned GimpShop which is an extension of Gimp to give it a Photoshop look and feel. Dunno much about it, but will check it out!
Louis from JDL Printing (Another non-blogger that needs some encouragement…)
He works with Jayx these days and has a printing shop. Louis was so kind as to give our beloved Freedom Toaster a new home. See, the toaster is kinda hidden away at present. As Bev mentioned: “… you needed to be a trained secret agent to know of its existence …” Now it is accessable once more at JDL Printing on the corner of Meade and Market Street in town! Louis, your a star!
One of the niggling issues was exactly that the Freedom Toaster needs a new home. Thats sorted. The next one is another upcoming Geek / 27-type Dinner. We were thinking Saturday the 2cnd of June. We’ll keep you posted about the when, where and what time, etc… We’d love to have the guys from Cape Town here again. If you guys can make it, please be in touch! Also, we would be elated to have some jozi jeeks here. Gator Mike and Gator Justin, it would be more than awesome if you could fit this in somewhere… I’ve asked Amatomu Vincent, but he’s got the pajama drill thing to do still and promised he’d visit us towards the end of the year.
So, thats it for now!

Hi Neighbour!
Did anybody ever tell you that if the whole geek thing doesn’t work out, that you could happily be a sales person, or a marketer!
You made the feisty one sound like superwoman - ah, I wish! I could do with some super powers!
