activeRES is conceived…
As I have mentioned much earlier, I have to develop some reservation software for my mom.
So with the new year under way and lining up a schedule beyond belief, I think it would be a good time to start by laying out the project named activeRES.
activeRES is reservation software for hotels, lodges, guest houses and bed & breakfasts to manage their reservations and financial controlling. (Sometimes A.K.A. a PMS or Property Management System, although activeRES will be a lot lighter than your Micros Fidelios)
It will be completely free and 100% open source and (hopefully) very user friendly.
I’m developing it in C# and on the dotNET framework 1.1 and it will use a Firebird database.
I will be hosting the sources on SourceForge as soon as I’ve got something properly going. So keep a close eye here as my bloggy will serve as a point of reference for the software.
