Nedwank
I’ve had ENOUGH of this shit now. Every second day Nedwank sends me a SMS that reads as follows:
Need Cash? You are invited to come into any Nedbank branch and apply for a personal loan of up to R100 000! For queries or to unsubscribe, call 0860 103 582.
I know a lot of SA bloggers complained about this before. I’m just gatvol. The fact that they have an unsubscribe option do not justify the SPAM. The fact that they did not send it to my email address does not disqualify it from being SPAM. I never signed anything that said “Please send me useless shit to my cellphone as I have ample time during the day to deal with it and if I don’t like it I’ll call your call centre and hold for 30 minutes just to stop getting this crap I don’t like”.
WTF? I did not want that damn SMS in the first place! Now, me, I’d rather spend 20 minutes blogging your shit than calling your call centre to unsubscribe… How are THEM apples?! If it was up to me, I’d close our business account with you and go to a bank that don’t SPAM.
The same goes for the flyers and brochures that clogs up my PO Box. Did I ask for that? Then who the HELL do those businesses think they are to stuff their crap in my mailbox? Why not come to my door and ask if I have the time or make an appointment to come speak to me about your product catalog? And if I do not have time or am not interested, at least you’ll know and maybe try at a later stage or just go away…
And the same goes for ABSA wank and Standardwank with their telesales people phoning me. If I say I do not have time, STOP! PLEASE! I’m NOT interested in explaining to your staff WHY I can’t listen for 5 minutes. IT IS NONE OF THEIR DAMN BUSINESS!!!! And if I said ONCE I do NOT want any more life insurance, PLEASE make a note on your systems so that some other asshole do not phone me 2 days later to sell me the same shit I said not to in the first place!
Yeah… whatever…
Oh and stop being a LAS. It is extremely LAME!

Send them a complaint..
Thanks Tyler. Just did. Lets see what they have to say.
HelloPeter might enjoy such a complaint…
Man I feel your pain! Nedbank doesn’t know the first thing about banking and even less about customer satisfaction. I swear Grand West will be a better bank than Nedwank!
I opened my 1st business account with them, it was 9 months of “Gat lek en Soebat” just to get a Merchant Id, to trade on the “Internet” using a “Credit Card” …
Iveri their “Credit Card Gateway” knows even less! CVV what!? Try Using their “Back Office” with any other browser except Internet Explorer, took them 9 months to do nothing …
I’m now with Standard Bank, at least they know what a Merchant Id is and I’ve been trading using Paygate for the last year and a half, no sweat!

Seemed to have worked with me on 1 or 2 spams I got.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article, but it sounds interesting…
