Afrigator’s second set of teeth
After a lot of sleep loss and me sleepcamelling through the day yesterday, we can proudly announce the second Alpha release of the Gator! What a ride its been.
The Gator is now proudly powered by Code Igniter. It also sports some OpenID functionality that was quite an interesting development. I never really realised that there was so little implementations in the wild of OpenID. Very little libraries and even less examples of implementation.
Another nifty feature that Justin forgot to mention is that when new users sign up, it automatically finds the RSS feed address of the site (provided it is set up correctly!) using php libcurl libraries.
I’m not going to bore you with all the gory details yet, but Justin summed it up nicely of what exactly we have done. Go read it over here.
I will however start doing some guides on how to use what as soon as I’ve got a free minute.
