Chilipodders on the Semantic Web!

While some people are still trying to capitalize on a bit of an audience exploiting the SA Blog Awards topic (yaaaawn), a very exciting and interesting topic is sprouting up. Paul and Victoire introduced the Semantic web on their latest chilipod podcast.

If you would rather focus on what could have been and what should have been according to people’s own points of views, then by all means go join these conversations and throw in you own 2.0 cents worthless. I would however much rather have you go download this podcast and go see what can be and what is going to be in the near future!
The podders gave a quick overview of what the Semantic web is aiming at. Although we are still a long way off from what should be, we’re busy launching that rocket. Just talking about it and making people aware of it is already a step in the right direction. I must just add that it has not yet been fully adopted in South Africa. We’re falling behind again as we did when the Web 2.0 scene hit our shores. Maybe the cause being that we love to ponder on controversies such as the blog awards, rather than getting excited about the future…

Way to go podders! Can’t hardly WAIT for the next episode!!

(Word to Paul & Victoire: Make a logo for the chilipods… I’d love to include it in my posts! Just please, no competition. I don’t think I can handle another controversy debate…)
